The healer’s gift is her own wound. It’s the source of empathy and true understanding of compassion and forgiveness. To heal thyself, embrace your wound as your sacred teacher.
What is sound healing?
Because of its penetrative quality that literally moves us at our core, sound as a healing modality has been used in all ancient cultures since a very long time. Today, scientific studies show that sound can produce changes in the autonomic, immune, endocrine and neuropeptide systems. Every atom, molecule, cell, gland, and organ of the human body absorbs and emits sound. The entire body, as well as our brain waves in a relaxed state, vibrates at a fundamental frequency of about 8 cycles per second, literally entraining and attuning us to the basic electromagnetic field of the earth itself!
When an organ or body part is healthy, it creates a natural resonant frequency in harmony with the rest of the body. When the vibration of a part of the body is out of harmony, we have dis-ease. With dis-ease, a different sound pattern is established in the affected part of the body. When sound is projected into the dis-eased area, correct harmonic patterns are restored.
What is energy healing?
Everything is energy. Every solid matter as dense as rocks, stones and minerals are energies, and every nonphysical experience, such as thoughts and emotions, are as well energies. The easiest way to understand or comprehend and perceive energies are those using our senses, such as seeing, touching, tasting, smelling and hearing. And one that takes the most direct form (omitting the necessity of any interpretation/translation from our mind) is sound. We could hear as well as feel the vibrations of sound.
An intention to heal and uplift paired with a medium/a frequency/a vibration – such as sound from the Crystal Singing Bowls, to transmit that energy becomes a powerful healing modality.
